Makena's Gingerbread House

For the Christmas season Makena's preschool had a gingerbread house making day. The parents were invited to build  gingerbread houses. So we built one with her :) It was really fun and we are a pretty good team. Makena's favorite part was getting to eat some of the candy. Once we were finished making our house we had a little snack of popcorn and juice. Then us parents got a great surprise, the kids sang a few Christmas songs. Makena was so cute. Watching her sing reminding me so much of my brother Beau when he was younger because they both have the same mannerism. Shea and I loved watching Makena sing and building the gingerbread house with her. We are so happy that we could share this with her.

Happy Birthday Shea :)

Shea turned 29! He is getting old...j/k. Shea was at school all day for his birthday studying for his finals, so we did not really do much for it. Makena and I made him a really yummy dinner and his favorite dessert banana cream pie. He was very happy and thankful.

I am so grateful to share his birthday with him and Makena, he is a wonderful husband and dad and such a hard worker. We love you babe xo

Thanksgiving 2012

We were so fortunate to spent thanksgiving in Panguitch with Shea's side of the family. We had so much fun visiting family, eating great meals, shooting guns, hanging out at the farm and Christmas tree hunting. It was Makena's first time shooting guns, she shot a 22 and a shot gun. She wasn't even scared or nervous, She did great! Makena and all her cousins were so excited to go Christmas tree hunting, it was really sweet and cute to see all of them together (it's not very often they all get to be together because of where we all live).

 

Halloween 2012

We had a great Halloween. Makena and I made spider cupcakes and scary pancakes, we had a lot of fun :) As a family we carved pumpkins and went to trunk or treat with our ward and then went around the neighborhood trick or treating with cousins and got so much candy! Makena was Angelina Ballerina, I     was a bunny and Shea was.... well himself from 2002, and he really had a lot of hair (ha ha) the only thing was it was blonde. Makena loved the witch that crashed in to our door, she thought it was the funniest thing ever.
