Fun in the Sun

Makena is like a fish, she loves the water. This summer we have been to three different splash pads many times, swimming at Brett's ( makena's uncle) parents house with my sisters and the dogs and playing in the sprinkler and the pool at home. This month Makena and Hadlee did swimming lessons together. They have become really good at swimming to the bottom of the pool and getting rings :) They both had a great time and always had fun.

Carnival

As a family we went to the American Fork Carnival. Shea and I had a blast watching Makena's eyes light up when she saw all the rides, games and prizes everywhere. Makena played a duck game and won a Nemo stuffy. Then she went on five different rides and had the time of her life, she even rode the kid roller coaster :) she was very brave. We all had a great time and could not leave without cotton candy.

Camping

Makena got a new sleeping bag for her birthday and really wanted to try it out. So we set the tent up in the backyard and camped out. It was Makena's first time ever sleeping in a tent outside so she was thrilled and we all had a good time. She did a great job sleeping in the tent.

Makena's 4th Birthday

Our big girl turned FOUR on June 2 so we threw her a birthday party at grandma and grandpa Owens. She was very happy and excited to have had so many friends and family come. We set up two pools in the yard, three slip 'n' slides, a crazy fun sprinkler, water balloons and got all the kids water guns to play and shoot each other. It was a blast, everyone seemed to have an awesome time. We ate cake and ice cream and opened presents, she got spoiled. I can not believe Makena is already four, time goes by so fast.

Cutie Pies

After Shea finished his finals(Yay!) we packed everything up and put it all in a storage unit for the summer while we moved to Utah. It was a lot of work but we had awesome friends that helped us out. We arrived in Utah about the middle of May. Makena was so excited to see her cousin Hads. They love playing together and helping Grandma with the dishes. They are great workers and so cute :)
